It’s no secret that the pandemic has had a major influence on the increase of online, email and phone sales. You’ve worked hard to show your customers that click and collect, or delivery from a local bookstore is easy and efficient. Just because the country is reopening doesn’t mean we should forget all we’ve learned over the past year. It’s time to grow these sales channels, embrace new customer relationships, strengthen your business practices, and ensure your bookstore can better compete with online retail giants.
As we look towards the busy fall and holiday season, this informal session will allow booksellers to crowdsource answers to your questions and exchange tips for tackling logistical challenges; from fulfilling large orders, to coordinating curbside pickups, to finding efficient and cost-effective shipping solutions. We will begin with a short presentation by a bookseller who will share tips and tricks they've picked up throughout the pandemic for efficiently handling online orders without running yourself or your team into the ground.
