Though social media is a critical business tool, it is also meant to be fun and organic. How do you develop a brand, stay on top of trends and important consumer dates, and share everything you need to share without getting overwhelmed or stuck in a rut? Online marketing specialist Ariel Hudnall (who currently develops all of the content for IndieBookstores.ca's social media channels), joins CIBA to discuss calendars, time management, content generation, engagement, outsourcing, cross-posting, and much more in this special workshop for booksellers who are ready to make their social media more effective—and joyful.
Presenter: Ariel Hudnall is a writer, book marketing specialist, and the Managing Director of Zg Stories, a marketing agency specializing in book publicity, author platform development, and storytelling stratagem. She holds a Master of Publishing from Simon Fraser University, and a BA in Japanese Language & Culture from the University of California, Berkeley. She lives and works on the unceded ancestral territory of the Dakeł Keyoh (ᑕᗸᒡ ᗲᘏᑋ), Tŝilhqot’in, and Dënéndeh peoples, as well as the Lhtako Dene Nation in an area sometimes known as Quesnel, BC. When she is not working, Ariel pursues creative writing, gardening, and baking, the latter two of which are frequently shared on her Instagram.
Event time is listed as ET.
