Managing human resources without an HR department is challenging at the best of times but during a pandemic it’s vital to ensure your people systems are running smoothly.

Through discussion, real-world scenarios, and breakout rooms, Jeanne LeSage will cover:

• Arts HR 101 – including compliance and extended programs
• Managing people in a pandemic
• Creating and maintaining respectful workplaces

At the end of this two-session course, attendees will receive a copy of the slide deck, links to templates, and resources that you can return to to keep your knowledge fresh.

This course is delivered over two sessions:

Jeanne LeSage is an arts consultant with a 30+ year career starting as a theatre stage manager, working for 10 years at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Theatre Operations and Human Resources; six years in international arts projects including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, and the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman. Jeanne is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), holds an MBA in Management Consulting, and owns and operates LeSage Arts Management in Toronto with a focus on Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Strategy, and Facilitation. Jeanne is a sought after speaker and trainer, having delivered sessions on strategic human resources such as: organizational development & effectiveness, performance management, policy development, workplace harassment & respectful workplaces and more.
