Hello Bookseller Members,

Are you interested in joining the CIBA Board of Directors or do you know a bookseller who is passionate about the industry and has great insights? Nominations for CIBA's Board of Directors are now open!

At the AGM, one new Director will be voted on to the Board. The Board provides high-level oversight into areas like strategic planning, financial management, and advocacy. Directors meet periodically, with a minimum of four meetings per year. The Director term is two years (2022-2024). 

How to Nominate

Nominations to the CIBA Board of Directors require:

  1. Nominee name and store name
  2. Contact information for nominee (email and location)
  3. A primary nominator*
  4. A secondary nominator*
  5. Confirmation that the nominee meets the qualifications outlined here

Once you have collected this information, you can submit your official nomination using the form linked below.

* Nominators must be CIBA Bookseller Members in good standing. You may nominate yourself or someone else from your store, or someone from another member store. All nominations must be seconded by another CIBA Member (external to your store).

 The deadline to submit your nomination is Friday, June 30, 2023.

Two current Directors will also stand for re-election. Information about all nominees will be distributed in early September. Bookseller Members will vote on their preferred candidates at the AGM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The results will be announced in the days following.
