PROMOTIONAL ASSETS

One of the most remarkable and endearing aspects of local bookstores is their distinct look, feel, and curated collection of books and products. We wanted to put together a cohesive look for CIBD 2021 while also celebrating the unique personalities of indie bookstores across Canada. Working with a talented local designer, we’ve created a brand for CIBD 2021 that incorporates 3 distinct concepts.

We encourage you to choose the design concept that best suits your personality and brand. Each folder contains:

  • Style guide (i.e., how to use each piece)
  • CIBD logos
  • Poster (3 print sizes available)
  • Contest one-pager
  • Web banner
  • Social graphics
  • Customizable social templates

In order to make an impact, please stick with a single concept throughout your communications. Examples of each concept can be found above the link to download.

Concept A: Professional, Accessible, and Warm

PUBLISHERS:
Have you added the new Shop Local API to your website yet? Powered by Bookmanager, Shop Local will allow readers to discover indie bookstores that have stock of any given title on your website. We've even designed a Shop Local button based on our CIBD brand! Click here to download our button.

SOCIAL MEDIA

We strongly encourage booksellers, publishers, and industry champions to help build excitement for CIBD 2021 online. Your social posts can be as generic or tailored as you’d like, depending on your interest and capacity.

Using our resources, you can:

  1. Create unique social content using our social media templates and design software like Canva or Adobe Spark. This will support promotion of specific titles, activities, and specials related to CIBD 2021. Look for templates in our promotional assets.

  2. Post original content to your feeds using our designed graphics and sample posts. This is best if you want to use your own voice with limited time. Use the graphics in our promotional assets and the sample posts below.

  3. Share CIBA’s posts! Our social feeds are curated for Canadian readers and will be populated with shareable content in the lead up to CIBD 2021. If you’re looking for something plug-and-play or want to expand our reach, make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
